2 trucks ago I had a 2000 RCSB silverado with 279,000 miles. Original engine still ran great but it was on its 3rd trans rebuild.

My 2000 RCSB just rolled over 215K this last weekend. The old 4.8 runs fantastically and will be pulled this winter to be replaced by a bottle fed 5.3 (It will be going into a street/strip 02 mustang with a carb and nitrous) The old 5 speed whines like a bitch, and the stock open carrier blew up on me during a failed attempt at a burnout, but gave me a reason to replace it with 4.10's and a posi! Everything else works great! I also plan on swapping to a t-56 this winter.

2002 ECSB Z71
211k miles
original motor, trans, front end, rear end and tcase
normal scheduled maint (trans flushed every 50k)

Has had waterpump, rear main seal, oil pan gasket and both front hubs replaced.

I just purchased the truck from original owner about 2 months ago for $800! Was told the motor was done for (had a knocking noise). Drove it home as it still had oil pressure. Turns out whoever did the rear main seal didnt replace the converter bolts or bother to loctite them for that matter and they came loose. Sheered two completely of and the 3rd wasnt far behind. $202 later (New flexplate and some bolts along with misc gaskets) and I was rolling down the road!
Have since installed the RC full leveling kit w/ 285's on NNBS yukon wheels, window tint, new plugs and a set of speed engineering long tubes with a magnaflow. Next up is airaid jr and a 220 cam with tune.
