Arrgh, this is a big mistake. a Litre is 61.025ci. Measuring by liters is not accurate down to the single CI.

To get the TRUE cid, you need to use the bore and stroke measurements. The formula stated above is accurate for say a 5.300000 liter engine but what if ours are 5.34 or 5.28? Remember, a 5.0 Mustang is a 302 but a 5.0 Chevy is a 305. I just wish I remember the actual formula for the bore and stroke method.

I think that the manufacturers round up or down a bit in reference to advertised liters...like mentioned above, I've heard both 302's and 305's referred to as 5.0's...I think that GM also has an older gen 6.0 that is actually a 366. I gotta admit, I kinda liked it when I thought my 5.3 was a 327...those numbers look kinda nostalgic on a cowl hood When I eventually go 6.0, not sure if I'll be searching for any "364" emblems. (gotta get a cowl hood first anyway )

Just get the 6.0 emblem off the trunk of a new GTO. They look sweet, I was checkin' them out last night.
