how high do you rev?

what cam were you running spinnign to 7500? was this on a 5.3 with stock bottom end and such?

tsp tv2 on my Lq9 bottom end. the horror storys you hear are just that like i said before i never heard storys to i cam here. i wouldnt rev 7500 daily. thats just where that perticular revlimiter was set up for that 408 computer i used in my truck

My buddy runs a 6L in his stock car. Its a sealed engine program that the track is trying out (paved 1/2 mile). Its a stock LQ9 short block with with ARP rod bolts and a cam. They have the rev limiter set to 7k and run right up to it and when the track is good, they hit it. I talked to the motor builder and he was telling me they haven't had any problems turning the stock short block to 7k, but when they turned them up to 7400, they would have rod failure about halfway thought the season. BTW, his "race motor" comes with a 1 year warranty

good to hear i dont have to worry about rod bolts, sounds like a big misconception
