Default How to get DIC working

I have an '03 Silverado and wanted to know what it would take to get a working DIC(Driver Information Center) in the truck. PCM reflashed, cluster, steering wheel etc. ?

BTW, I plan on getting a Escalade cluster and a tune anyways.

From what i hear you can get a button that goes on the left of the dash bezel where that pocket you have is that connects to a pre-existing wire clipped inside the dash. That's it.

Where can I get that button? If I get a steering wheel with the DIC controls will the pre-existing wire just hook up to it?

You'll rpobably need a new Instrument Cluster dude. The display will just go dead hafl the time on these trucks. You can send it to a repair center like Techni-Car or Model Electronics.

So do you have a DIC that quit working or are you looking to add one? If you want to add one, it looks like a simple plug and play. See this thread. Post #3 in the thread has a link to a DIC for an '07 for $100.

I am looking to add it. The one in the link is for an '07 so does anyone make one for the '03? Or will getting the cluster and steering wheel take care of it for me?
