Default How does an open element filter

Sound? i always wondered what it sounds like on the truck since it has bigger engine i had one in my Aztek and sounded awesome but just how does it sound on the truck? Can any1 post a short video i think i might be gettin a little cheap one for sound lol.

sounds like taking the air cleaner lid on an old carb vehicle and flippin it over...ever do that?....pretty close to that...

sounds great... especially when engine is cold (after startup for the first 5 minutes or so). You'd swear your truck had a 12" diameter tube connected to the TB, suckin' in ungoldly amounts of air.

I just bought a spectre performance filter i could have gone with the 12 inch long one but it was 40$ and the 8 inch was 24$. It is pre oiled and i got the 10 year 100k mile warranty with it suposed itwas free or it alredy comes with it. I bought it in a silver white ish color to see if it actually filters out anything, it is going on the stock tubing until i can buy their custom intake kit that comes with everything needed for an intake to make it custom, ill see if i can get any mpg increase or decrease. My first performance mod.
