hotchkis drop kit
#1
I am thinking about getting the hotchkis drop and edelbrock shocks. How much will the kit effect my ride on a scsb. I had a belltech spindle, shackle, and hanger kit with the belltech nitro active and I only had it on for about a month because it rode rough and the turning radius was cut down. How much did it actually lower you from stock height. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

If you are concerned about a rough ride the Hotchkis is not for you. I have the kit with Doetsch shocks. It handles great but if will beat you to death on rough roads (we have a lot of them here). The front isn't too bad but the rear is what will get ya. I think it is mainly due to hitting the bumpstops so a shackle/hanger with factory springs may be the same. I dont know? I think with even a 2" notch, it would make a world of difference.

That's exactly what I wanted to know. I had a belltech shackle and hanger and it also hit the bump stops. That's one of the reasons I removed the kit. We have some really bad roads around here, thanks anyway.

How do you like the shocks you are running? I'm in need of shocks soon.

Do they keep the truck planted pretty decent with the Hotchkis drop? No bobbing? I'm more of a road course guy than dragstrip and I would like a shock that compliments the performance aspect of the drop. I'm planning on Hotchkis sway bars eventually too.

Do you have the part numbers? I imagine they have them on thier website. Doetsch Tech right?
I know I've been saying I want the Hotchkis sway bars for a long time. I'll do it eventually, just like my cam. At least I've got it sitting in my garage right now. :-)
