An earthquake which registered 7.0 just happened at 7:50pm PST about 80mil;es off the coast of Cresent City Ca.... This is the same town that was trashed back in the 60's due to a Tsunami which originated in Alaska!
My first guess is a slip in the Cascadia Subduction Zone? Funny I mentioned this while agruing with someone online about a month ago who said it would never happen.

Na, the quake was centered off the coast so all was good. I just talked to my sister in Seattle and a friend in Coos Bay, Or. and they called it oof. There has been no unatural measurments from weather stations and bouys off the coast so everything should be fine.
You STS guys on the coast can turn around and drive back down the hill.
