I was cruising around CarDomain and decided to see what the Ausies had. Check out this Holden Ute that makes 1376hp at the wheels
are their dynos off
It is a 355 stroker with Keith Black blower pistons and a Vortech V-1 SC.
Man I wish GM was cooler to us
Personally I think the body could use some work...but who cares :p
look at that intercooler
what a Holden Ute looks like
HERE is the site for more pictures and info.

I saw one in a magazine about two years ago and it had a stock LS1 motor in it. It had the Monte Carlo front end with the bed and looked really clean. I was hoping that maybe it would be made over here also but I haven't heard anything about them until today when I saw your post.

OK, I went and checked. 1,376hp (or 1,025rwKW) was on THIS car;

If you look at his stats, he shows a timeslip if 12.303 @ 114mph and then lists in his stats on the side, 12.3 @ 116mph. He also posted an estimated 500hp. If he had almost 1,400hp, you'd think he'd go a tick quicker than 12.3 even with traction problems.

That's ok Ryan, the only reason I went to check it out was to see if it were in HP numbers or KWh numbers, that's when I stumbled upon the other car.
Golden, what many here fail to understand is that the U.S. market is considerably more stringent thanks to Uncle Sam. It's not GM's choice to have their vehicle's burdened with all the safety, emissions, crash, and other miscellaneous requirements that are levied upon them. This isn't the case in Austrailia. Also, one must remember that you, the others on this board, and myself who are performance oriented are the 1% of the automotive population. And I may be a little generous with that 1%. The rest of the automotive purchasing/driving population could give two sh*ts less about performance. To them that ranks 3rd, 4th, or even further down the line and is more of an "icing on the cake" deal. Durability, reliability, safety, comfort, and most importantly...COST are more important to them.
That is primarily why we are not blessed with Holden's over here. But have patience grasshoppers, many a good things are coming and good things come to those who wait.
