Default Holeshot/good 60ft tips?

Well, guys, the rain is hell bent on staying over my head this week, so I might not get to launch the truck until Thunder. It's probably going to be funny as hell watching me launch the new setup for the first time in front of people.
Anyway, what are you 2wd guys with stall/slicks doing at the line? Are you guys brake stalling at very low speeds, and letting it flash? Are you brake stalling pretty high and just getting on it out of the hole? What's the best way to approach this? Exact rpm numbers are greatly appreciated.

Jeremy

I'm brake stalling to around 2800 and pounding it. Pretty constant 1.9s and a few 1.8s....but to tell you the truth I have never really tried anything else. I had good intentions last time I was at the track of trying different things but I get pretty pumped at the line and just brake stall. Anyone tried a low stall with a flash? I would be interested in the results. Track is closed for the winter here now so I'll be waiting for awaile to see what might happen.

All converters are different...

Some like to be stalled up to maybe 1500rpm then flashed and others like to be stalled till you're almost pushing the line. Try it both ways and find a happy medium.

My TT3000 liked to be pushed in my truck. My PT4400 in my T/A liked to be stalled to about 3000rpm... *shrug*

I have a 3300 stall in mine and I've seen best results from bringing the RPMS up to about 2000rpm, just to bring the slack out of the driveline, then nail it on the 3rd yellow, it flashes to 3300-3500 rpm and takes off. My best 60ft w/ 28x11.5x15 ET Streets and Cal-tracs is in the 1.7xs. But my Belltech shocks are slowing me down, I have some QA1s on the way.

My trucks not really making any power, but the only way I can get traction on radials is to let the truck idle, let off the brake and mash the gas at the same time. If I try to bring it up on the converter at all it blows the tires off. Even after a decent burnout and with the added traction of being at the track.

Wait untill you see a green tailgate, then go.

Just stall it up and go,works for me.

Thanks guys. I'm, going to try everything posted. I'm hopefully going to make it down there in time to run the a few times before the acual race. If the rain would slack up any, I could put on the slicks and try the gtech out a few times.

TnTrk53- Are you getting as much rain as we are? I just poored out 2.7 inches out of our gauge today. It's really been a pain in the butt.
