Hey man don't bag on the 5.9's. Those things are some torque monsters. They just happen to come nuetered from the factory. With some mods you can make the 5.9 do some damage. It's still no LS motor though.

As far as the Hemi....my cousin has one in his 2500 and it can get the big truck moving. I agree that stock for stock the LM7 and Hemi are pretty close with the Hemi getting a little edge. Of course GM could settle all this if they had the 6.0 as an option in a 1/2 ton truck. When that happens I'll be first in line at the dealership to pick one up.

I go to bed and go to work and get home and all hell has broke loose.
who ever plowed over Jim you need to step back.
As stated before he has given more to this board than most of us posting in this thread.
I do not think diffrently of him for buying a Hemi Ram. I like the way they look, but I have difrent opinions and tastes.
to each there own.
Oh and have a nice day

I gotta agree, 1500, 6.0L, 4 regular doors, 6ft+ bed = not at any Chevy dealers. Main reason I went with the Hemi QC. No dis on the Chevy, just needed an excuse to give to the other half to justify the change.
Of course, the stroker LS1 sitting in my garage that is going into my "old" Silvo ( my brother bought it and is paying the bills for engine parts ) is another testimony that we are VEHICLE lovers regardless of the brand. Nothing wrong with a little friendly rivalries, including some good natured flames. So far the Chevy vs. the world is way more civilized here than the other specific truck sites. Hope it continues to stay that way.

I agree. I would love to have a 6.0 1500 Crew Cab 4x4. Add a cage and a nice long travel suspension, man I'd be in hog heaven out in Glamis in that thing. Until then I guess I'll just have to settle for resto-modding my 72 Blazer with a 6.0.
