Default HELP with pulling locator pin...inside please

Ok, on the mating surface for my timing cover there are these two locating pins for the cover. For the cover to work i need to pull these locating pins out. I tried pulling them out with vice grips but all i can do is get the pins to spin but i can't get them to pull out. The pins are a really soft aluminum and i have mangled them pretty bad trying to get them out. any ideas on how to get them out? I started to drill at one of them but decided it was a bad idea seeing how there where metal shavings going everywhere and i have no pan or intake manifold or anythink like that to cover anything. Is there some sort of puller out there for this?

Anyway you can get a picture to show what you're talking about? I don't remember anything I had to remove like that.

Sorry dood ... I'm not sure I konw what you're talking about. I hate not being able to help ya out, but I just dont think I understand. I don't think the LS1 style motors have this. The timing chain cover bolts directly up to the block and the oil pan on the bottom. Line the bolts up and you're good to go. Other than that I don't konw what to tell ya. Sorry ....

Maybe if you can weed through the BS, someone on fullsizechevy.com can help.
