Sounds like a good idea to me. You might want to make sure that the tail piece off the 65E will transfer over to the 60E so that you can bolt it up to the AWD transfer case. Then again maybe they are the same? Other than that and a few mods to the pipes which I am sure STS will be glad to help you out with it should be a pretty easy swap. You will need two new tunes though and some sort of exhaust for the denalli. Just a muffler in the middle and a couple of pipe extensions ought to handle that except for the spare tire.

You can do it.

I learned a long time ago that the pros a a little better at this than me...

Mort - Sounds good. I'm not sure about the tail of the trans. Might work. And I kept the Flowmaster so I could weld that back on. I have a feeling this isn't going to "save" me money though!!!!!

[Sarcasm] If you going to swap trannies then why not take the 6.0 out of the Denali and swap in the 5.3 in its place, that way the guy that ends up with the Denali wont kill the 4L60 with just a 5.3. Really you would be doing him a favor. [/Sarcasm]

Like they said earlier, why not just swap the whole motor? It would prolly be easier.
