Anyone have a "Heavy Hauler" tranny from Performabuilt? Im talking to Frank about getting one for my Z71. Anybody have any experience with one directly? Dramatic difference in towing ability?

i wouldn't think it'd make a difference unless you've got a duramax or serious torque down low

 

lol i actually have a lvl 2 in it now with a 3000 stall but the future calls for towing so i need to go a different route.

what stall do you have? i have the equivalent of a lvl 3 with a tt2600 yank getting ready to switch to a 3400 protruck yank and i tow all of the time (at least once a week). your trans should be fine, you MIGHT need to change your converter but thats all. call yank and ask them what would be best for you, thats how i chose my next converter
