New school. I guess so. Are you an AE, or still active duty?

I was top in my class and got E-4 out of school, so advancement only took 8 months E-1 to E-4. 2 years to E-5 though.

Sweet! Yeah, if you know your stuff, you can pick up rank quick in the Navy. Former Marine, Navigational Aids Technician (MATCU). I went through "A" School with a bunch of Squids and a few fellow Devil Dogs. Our "C" school was also at Millington. I've been out since '99. Still in the electronics field, but private sector helping train pilots.

I need to get off my *** and look into the Reserves again since I doubt if I'll be going anywhere for a few years.

aint that the truth. i spent almost 10 years in the navy and just got out in dec for family reasons. i have a nice reserve command i can go to and i know everyone there already. i just need to go sign the papers. but for some reason, i just can't take myself down there. i am still feeling ashamed of getting out during the war. i guess it is a personal guilt.

But when we decided it's time to take action, the shame us and say we're in the wrong. I say we should stop all of our aid the countries that are shaming us and let them try and survive on their own. Feed and protect our own first, then if there's any left, help other countries.

Amen!

Of all our local news here I like KTVU the best. They seem to be the least biased.

Squids have no natural enemys, and eat and **** marine life. I learned that on Discovery channel.

I dont have too long left in, and first chance i have i'm out. I dont have one good thing to say about the Navy sadly. I am looking into the Army Warrent officer program to fly Helo's, or the good old Coast gaurd.

That is if i cant find the kind of jobi want before that.

LMAO! I haven't heard that one yet!

I looked into the Coast Gurad Reserves since there's a few stations around here, but it would've required me to take a while off of work to go back to boot camp. It'd be interesting to go back through boot camp knowing what I know now. It's intersting to look back on the recruiting process after looking into be a recruiter and talking to recruiters about their techniques.

If you're interested in staying in the electronics field if you go the civilian route, look me up! I could always use another GM bubba to bust the ***** of the Furd and Dodge guys I work with.
