Default headlight won't turn on

i have a 2001 gmc sierra. every once in awhile when i turn my lights on the passenger side headlight won't turn. but if tap the headlight assemble it will turn on. i was think it might be a wire harness problem. has anybody else had this problem?

did you change the bulbs? i myself and im sure TONS of other ppl on here have this same problem with there lights under the hood of there truck. id say change the bulb if it persists spray some of that electrical contact **** in where both ends of the harness connect, if it keeps going bad harness

the harnesses are an awful setup and they can get lots of dirt in them espically if you go mud riding a lot. just clean them good and make sure the bulb is in good. the only good design about them is the ease of installing them.

man unless you buy some good bulbs they will go out in about 3 or 4 months. headlight bulbs are not something you should try and find the cheapest you can. you definately pay for what you get. i have went through 3 sets of the blue bulbs that look badass but you cant really see much lol. i finally bought some piaa high and low beam and i havent had any problems. also dont touch the bulbs unless you have some clean gloves on!!
