Default header installation costs

Anyone know what would be a reasonable price to install my Thorley headers? I have to get this done before Fri morning (finace gets home and I need to get rid of the evidence).

Don't know on cost. But whoever does them, tell them to use the stock steel gaskets and give them a tube of Permatex ultra copper RTV to cover the gaskets with. That way you won't have any leaks.

LOL on the wife thing! Been there.

i would highly recommend doing the install yourself. it really isnt a hard install. mine took me and my buddy like 3 hours in 15degree weather in my apt parking lot.

I really think I can do it myself. What did you use to get the truck up?? Im a pretty big, thick guy. Im like 5'9 235 and my arms are 20 inches, so moving around under there may not be too easy unless you have a decent amount of room. Am I going to have lean or extremely rich conditions on the 30 min drive to the exhaust shop to have it welded up?? I have a blower and 43lb injectors if that matters. How much prior experience did you have?? It seems pretty easy.

well your a big old boy I am small in comparison about 5'8 and 200lbs but I understand about geting under the truck my chest gets stuck on the crossmember ever damn time I slide underneath. I would just suggest the little ramps you can drive on and and it will raise it about a foot or so. they should slide in pretty easy always have abuddy help you just incase something does go wrong.

Where can I get these headers to fit my 2000 5.3 L Yukon XL. Can I get some ideas where to look?

Ok thanks I will look there. What model magnaflow do you have on the 01 tahoe. Do you like that magnaflow & header combo. Will that give me a lot more HP?
