Default head torque angle

I'm using the 1st design head bolts.

I followed the following head torquing sequence out of SA Design's (W2W) book:
1) 1-10 -> 22ft-lbs
2) 1-10 -> 76 deg
3) 1-8 -> 76 deg, 9-10 -> 38 deg
4) 11-15 -> 22 ft-lbs

I was just looking at another book (Potak's) and it calls out for 90 deg's instead of 76's. Wondering if I need to get new head bolts and gaskets and redo it following Potak's method, as it seems to be the norm?

You mean just torquing it another 14 degrees?

14 deg shy on the first pass, and 14 deg shy on the second pass...ok to go another 28?

Yeah that's fine, just do it in the proper sequence. I assume this engine has never been run?
