Default has anyone made this conversion yet?

the hood hinges on 07+ are hydraulic hinges whereas 99-06 are mechanical spring hinges...has anyone made the conversion to hydraulic on the 99-06? LMC wants ~$20 for each hydraulic hinge....just wonderin if anyone else has done it yet

I'd like to. Looks cleaner under the hood IMO.

I like the spring hinges much more. They don't wear out.

On every tahoe I've seen, they have a hydraulic dampener in the center that sticks out like a sore thumb in addition to the clock springs for lift assist. And my 2010 Sierra only has the springs on the hinges.
