Default harness swap

what would be the major problem with swapping out a dash complete with harness from a 2003 into a 2000 model silverado 1500.

what all else would i have to change beside the radio and temp control and the speedo and would this work or not.

The BCM is part of that harness...and the door lock, pwr windows, mirrors, etc. are all part of the BCM circuit. Not sure if you'd need to make all of those parts compatable or not
