Default hard wiring a Radar in 08 sierra

Just picked up my 08 Sierra this morning and need to hook up my passport 8500 w/hard wire.

How is the best way to do this on the new trucks? How do you remove the A pillars?

Thanks
Christian

If you mount it up by your visor you can run the wires down the pillar and into the fuse box. Go to an auto parts store in the fuse section and get a part that looks like the doodad on the left of this picture. Pull a fuse for any of the IGN or ACCY slots and plug that into it. Put the fuse back into the correct slot on the doodad. You'll even have a fuse for your radar. Ground your negative off to a bolt there and your done.

That's what I used on my wideband. Hooked up quick that way.

I used the overhead lights last time and would probably do the same again.

I thought about Overhead lights originally but figured the Fuse box would hide just as easily and allow you to remove it without taping up any spliced wires.
Either way is perfectly fine tho.
