Default Guy.......I am in big trouble!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 4l80 just broke, I'm so ******* pissed off right now!!! I was tightening the bolts down to the block....walked away for a second to answer my phone...hear a loud popping noise. When I come back outside I see my bell housoing broken in two places. The top hole and the passenger side hole where the dipstick tube brackets onto. What can I do at this point!!???

How did it break? Was the tail end not supported?

Don't even try to get it fixed (welded up), you will have to do a case swap.

Yeah I just called chuck at FLT. He's sending me a box right now. It was supported but I guess I did it wrong. I had the engine hoisted in the air and the tranny on a jack. Chuck said I should've put the the engine on the ground though and mated it from there. My problem was there was too much of a gap between the housing and the block. I didn't have the tranny all the way on the doll pins before I started bolting it together!!!!!
