I've got some money now that my taxes have come back + the money I've been trying to save up. My total as of right now is $750. I've got some things on my to-do-list:
-Headwork = $1000
-2600 Yank Converter = $1005 (includes everything-tranny cooler, converter, installation of converter and cooler)
-Eaton/3.73s = ~$900 (everything)
-Centerline Stingray III's 16 x 8 = ~$600 + S&H (Jegs has them for 151.xx right now)
-Amp for my subs that have been sitting in my back room for going on a year and a half!
-Tahoe grille w/ billet grille inserts or just billet grille $?
I've got too many expensive options. I'm think about just saving until summer and buying a few of these things all at the same time. I know the Yank converters will go on sale again or have another Group Purchase this year. What would ya'll do?

Drop a stall in that bad boy! I forgot to look in your sig to see if you have a shift kit and servos, but if you don't I would do them at the same time. I would be that you could turn some easy 14.4's then!

I vote stall too .. Don't put the shift kit in without the ability to remove torque management though. It relly isn't that difficult to put it in either. Just undo all the bellhousing bolts, I think there's 7 of them, and the crossmember. Take the starter off and undo the bolts on the torque converter (that should be done first probably. Drop the tranny, pull the old one out. Put the new one on, spin it until you hear it go back 3 times. There is 2 sets of splines it has to meet and then the neck has to fit in the pump if that helps ya. Jack the tranny back up and start bolting everything back up.
The converter should spin freely behind the flywheel after it is mated to the bellhousing, if not, something is wrong. Don't force it up there if it doesn't fit. Have lots of WTF ready to put back in there. Probably 8 quarts or so to get started. When you get it all buttoned back up, start it and immediatly turn it off. Check the fluid add if necessary and repeat. The first start up or 2, all the fluid should go directly to the converter. That's why the start up, shut off, and refill.
You just need about 3 foot of extensions and a buddy to help you out. A few jacks and jack stands help too.
