Screw him, that guy gutted his car to try to get some real performance, setup for just racing only, that guy is a hoser running that on the street, at least you got a full vehicle driving around, and you are in comfort and can take a passenger. Sure anyone could gut thier vehicle for more speed, but then I wouldn't want to drive it on the street.

I'm with you guys on this one. I was cool about it. Hell, if I took out my speaker box, carpet, passenger seat, center console, tailgate, both doors, the bed, and put on some 16s with street slicks, I might be faster, but what the hell have I proved? I want a ride in full dress that can run. And it did seem kinda strange that he pulled me by that many on the mid and high end. I was expecting it to be closer, but oh well. His buddy looked uncomfortable as hell when they drove off and he was sitting on the bare metal. In May, the truck will be mine and I think I'm gonna start a build up on a larger motor. I landed a job this week. I'm job training until May when I graduate college, then I'm taking over a local warehouse management position. Gotta love full benefits and a nice salary. If I finally get a motor built, I'll just spray this little 4.8 till it dies. Then I'll go look him up again.

Hey, whitt1, that was the first time I met the guy, but he doesn't seem like the race for cash kinda guy. Come to think of it, he looks like the last guy I would expect to drive the Honda. He looks kinda like a band member of Blind Melon. Long hair and kinda hippy looking. I have always been used to the import drivers that wore the preppy clothes and the visor caps. Do you do alot of racing in Memphis? I have some friends that carry their bikes to Memphis to race, but I've never been to check it out. Most of the guys here are scared to race for money, or they're like me and not fast enough. Whatcha got done to your Tahoe. I'd love to check it out sometime. Man, the guys around here know absolutely nothing about fixing up trucks to run. Most of these guys have mustangs and stock Z71s. Just give me a holla if you're ever around my neck of the woods. I could probably set you up with a few races, but most of the people around here have shallow pockets.

BACK FROM THE DEAD!
I saw this guy in town the other night. I wonder how much he'll want to race for now that I've gotten a "few" mods done?
