Unhappy Got into an accident...

I've been driving for 5 years now and it finally happend to me. A lady pulled out in front of me and tried to get ahead of me. I slammed on the brakes but it was to close, it was either me go right and slam into a guardrail and her car, or just veer left and take her car only. Her car slid from the rear drivers door to the back of the rear fender. Nothing THAT major, but still yet $2100 with a new bedside and repainting below the molding on the drivers door, the entire ex cab door and the bedside. There were two decent size dents in the cab door and the back corner of the cab that will have to be taken out. I got out and I was just like, did you not see me or what? She kept repeating im sorry im sorry your truck is so nice im sorry i messed it up dude. I was like its ok, you got insurance etc...Called the cops, got it taken care of. It could have been a LOT worse....thankfully its just cosmetic for the most part. It will have to have a new ex cab door and a new rear fender skin...sucks to get rid of the OEM paint but, oh well. Her fiance is a Fayette co sheriff and he pulled up with her newborn son in the back seat so, that put things into perspective as in cars dont mean anything. At least everyone was alright.

It was minor, but major. Thankfully its under her insurance.

Damn,

Hate to hear that about you and your beautiful truck. But like you said, thankfully no one was hurt. It could have been a lot worse.

You've got the most important part of this figured out--sheetmetal can be replaced, your life can't. Glad to hear that no one was injured.

Awe man, sorry about that.

At least it wasn't your fault. I thought of myself as a really good driver until I destroyed the back of a Lexus (which shouldn't have been where it was), last winter.

I STILL feel like crap about it.
