No points system in Texas, its so many tickets in so many years. I used to know because I was real close to it when I was younger. Hell, I lost a job over it.

Here in Oklahoma If you are caught racing we can SEIZE your vehicle.

Not Impound, SEIZE as in it's now my new patrol car or we'll sell it at auction for alot less than its worth.

Its important to note that you can legally be arrested for speeding even 1 MPH over the limit. I have arrested every single person I caught driving over 100 MPH (and impouded their cars). I have also seized several vehicles involved in street racing (so far they have all gone through).

I treat everyone fair, but I dont tolearate putting innocents in danger. Caught one guy street racing his RX-7 with his 8 month old infant in the front seat (in a childs seat). He got arrested, car was seized, and he lost his visitation rights to the child (now they are supervised). That stuff really angers me.

Anyway....just thought i'd throw the seizure thing out there for something to think about.

....Ive done it to, but never endangered anyone but myself or the other driver (or buddies that begged to come along). I treat folks as fairly as they let me treat them.

I have a buddy who gets caught speeding all the time. I am pretty sure, he can only get one more ticket or he will lose his license for so many days. I think he has five in the last 6 months.

I have one ticket for 85 in a 70 on my back to Austin from Houston. I tried the "I am about to **** my pants" trick - it didn't work.

I totally understand what you're talking about. I don't ever drive over 100, unless it's a back road that is totally visable and no one is around. I don't like endangering anyone but myself.

As for that ticket in 2000 for a 102 in a 65, it was a big nightmare. I was being chased by some wacko that I got into it with on the highway. It happened on HALLOWEEN night. I got on the freeway and got into the left-hand lane and NO ONE was in the lane. Anyways, I was going about 75 and from out of nowhere comes this a**hole in an older Chevy truck. The guy starts tailgating me so close that I can't see his headlights any more. So I tapped on the breaks to tell him WTF? and he goes crazy. There was a car in the right lane, so I couldn't just move over. I start to move over, when I got the opportunity, and this jerk flies around me and nearly slams into me. He starts rolling down his window and had a "shiny object" in his hands. So I floored it and tried to get away from him. He couldn't keep up, but kept chasing me. I didn't have my cell phone and was in the middle of no where. The guy keeps chasing me, flashing his lights, and I come up to some traffic. I slow down next to another vehicle and this guy starts trying to go around me on the shoulder. The vehicle next to me suddenly slows down, probably because of that wacko, and once again I floored it, trying to get away from him. All of a sudden, I see that wacko dim his lights and pull into the right lane and slow down. I was like WTF? and a Trooper comes out of nowhere and pulls me over. The trooper goes nuts on me, asking "What kind of games am I trying to play?" I tried to tell him what had happened and he says "Why didn't you just pull over?" I told him "I tried too but the guy tried to hit me and had some kind of "shiny object" and I wasn't going to take any chances." He said " You should have pulled off the highway and called us and we would have taken care of him." I was shaking and scared as I told the trooper " I'm suppose to pull off the road and risk getting shot by the ****!!!!" The trooper gets pissed and warns me he can take me to jail.

Anyways, I thought it was total BS that I couldn't do ****, because this guy has "road rage" and chases me. WTF? am I suppose to do, let this **** injure me or worse shoot me!!!! I think I was doing everything I could to avoid the situation. F*ck what that trooper thought, I was just trying to survive!! I told the Judge the story and he dismissed the ticket. The trooper gave me 2 citations: one for 102 in a 65 and the other for impeding traffic. How the F*CK do you impede traffic at a 102 !?!
