If the tree is set up at .400 "pro tree" meaning all yellows will flash at once. Leave as soon as you see yellow. Don't wait on the green or you will get dusted off the line.ha ha

In my experience DO a burnout, a nice good one. It helps out a lot on street tires...which are still practically worthless ha ha

Experiment with your launch RPM until you find your best 60' time...I'll bet that you'll probably cut your best 60' up against the converter...

If you are truly racing the guy next to you, yeah you need to work the reaction time. Otherwise just sit there and do everything you need to keep it consistent.

If you have the chance to make plenty of passes, dont change more than one thing per run. Ex., if you leave the line at idle after doing no burnout before hand, dont leave the next pass trying to stall the truck up after a huge burnout. Consistency is the key. Experiment with one change to your routine per run to see what works best for you. When you change multiple things its harder to see what works better and whats not working. And have fun! Dont worry so much about the launch. Just pay attention when you stage and when the yellows come down go ***** to the wall.

No burnouts on street tires, especially in the water box. Burnouts leave street tires slimy and will more then likey blow off when you launch. Try launching from an idle first, then experiment form that point......

like said above just clean the tires off not a big burnout because the tires get grease and messy with = no traction
