I will need some tires if I'm going to keep racing at the track. I had fun and I did get beat up a new Mustang GT on all three passes, lol.

I'm not sure you can blame it all on the stock tires. They held the first 2 passes.

I'm pretty sure I could put some drag radials on and run 13's

I would hope so, you went 14.0 on the street tires. Drag radials are going to be shorter more than likely so there is a gain there without the traction difference.

What kind of tires do you have?

the stock general tires that came on it. I think they are 245/70/17.

How much of a difference would some drag radial make? What size should I go with?

If you want to mount them on the same wheel, go with the 275/50R17 from M&H.

I've pulled off a 2.08 60' on my 20's going off idle at full weight on a hot day. You should be able to rip off 1.8's easily.

Sweet, I just bought a set of the UHPs and am going back to the dyno sometime this week and then going to the strip. afterwards.

I've been running 14.5 thats with the tailgate, spare tire, subs, and me and with bad traction problems, I should be in the mid-to high 13s if these hook decent. and I wont have any of those other things on there either.

these runs where with no weight reductions. only thing I did different was put the tailgate down. I guess there are a lot of tricks I could do do get my times down, but I wanted to keep as honest as possible. I will probably be getting some drag radial very soon. Are there any cons to using drag radials every day, besides wet conditions? how long will a set last?
