found a 6.0l in the classisfieds here with water damange for 650 plus shipping. He said it ran but a littl rough. Could the block be damaged at all? As long as the block is good I think i would be alright for my plans deffinately since im getting such a good deal at 650.

No. The combustion chambers on the 5.3 heads are too small for the larger valves with out runing into shrouding problems.

Thats still what Im trying to figure out....Is the extra compression worth the loss of flow, and vice versa? I do know a few people running the 5.3 heads on 6l's though and they seem to be strong.

your really confusing me. You just said I would run into shrouding problems running 5.3l heads on the 6.0? But then said you know of a few people doing it?
