LOL
I have some ET Streets, 27x10.5x16 and I can't get them hot enough to launch good. If I boil them off, and make one hell of a smoke show, I can get a decent launch, but still get a little spin on the 1-2 shift and even the launch.
If I were to get some new tires, I would be looking at some 28x10.5.16 Hoosier's or 28x12.5x16 ET Streets. The M/T tires rate the sidewall width, and not the tread width. Hoosier rates the tread width, but ut's still a half inch short of advertised. I found out that my Streets, are only just a little over 8" wide.

Yea, there wasn't much to my old 26x10.50 and I was getting to the point were they wernt holding very well but the 26x11.50 are a bit wider and seem to bite a little better. I will still blow them off if I dont heat them up good though.

i might go junk yard hunting for some old tires and do what 01thunder did and make my own slicks for the time being. it beats burning up my street tires.
BigKID - "disclosure... I am not responsable for any breakage that may occur during said pass." that was funny.
Kenny, if you can, bring that pred just so i can lower my 1-2 shift point. i hate having to play let out of the gas and back on it. i am too inconsistent. but you can take it back with you and get done what you need to do to it. no rush on it either. good things take time.
