I was watching an older U.S. top gear episode the other day. It was the one about Police cars and replacing the old caprice. Tanner was talking about the new Caprice, and he says "That the wheels and tires on the new caprice can hit a curb head on at 40mph". That's probably what I was remembering.

looking to do the front and rear upgrade on my 2003 silv , wanting to know if the front upgrade using the 2005 or 06 caliper will clear my 16 inch factory rims , if not what will work ?

It won't. You need to go to at least a 17" for any of the upgrades
