hey, i tried to take the amber out of my headlights and couldn't do it. i feel dumb! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
one of my headlights is all jacked up now. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

 

What happened with the headlights? Why couldn't you get the amber out? Did you break the bast@rds??

 

well i took out the headlight (drivers side)
took the two chrome clips off,
then took an exacto knife and cut the seal around the light. next i used a flat head screwdriver to bend the little plastic square holder things..
i bent all those back to where it wouldnt get in the way, and the SOB light wont pry loose...
do i need to cut the seal more or what?

 

i was surprised with how much of a seal was in there when i took mine out. i would cut the half with the amber reflector, separate, cut some more, separate, cut...etc. until i could pry the headlight open just enough for the reflector to jiggle out. if you're trying to pull the reflector out with your fingers, that's to hard. just open it up and let it fall out on it's own...took me all of 5 minutes.
