Glad I got a week off

thought about driving down to Florida from New York for vacation, but decided to stay home and work on the truck. Need to change oil, replace rear rotors and pads (FED EX will be here on Feb 18), then I probably will be then able to pass inspection which I am due for. only 16* out right now. doesn't making working in the garage any fun. at least it will be close to 40's later in the week when the brakes arrive

I think I am going to take a week off to install my TT3000, TransGo and Brake lines. I always like to know if something goes wrong I have a few days to get it right! I will probably detail the truck that week too.
Today it is 40, but I am going to wait a month or so.

every person that works in their garage knows to keep a heater in their. great investment. You come to love it when your hands are frozen and then you bang your knuckles when wrenching down a bolt. Damn that hurts.

i know what you mean about the installs. i bought my Eaton in May and didn't put it in until Xmas. i had 2 weeks off and wanted some insurance time just in case. glad i waited, i took me 3 days to put in the posi. probably could of done it in 1 day, but i ran into problems, plus it was xmas eve and xmas day too and i was working on the truck in the garage. had to put a few things on hold in order to spend time with the family.
let me know how easy it is to put the Yank in. i had someone do it for me back in the spring. if my truck wasn't my daily commuter, i probably would of tried it myself.

The converter is a mater of dropping the tranny and getting it back up there. The easiest way is to get lots of extensions and get the bolts on the sides and the bottom of the tranny, then take the intake off and get the 3 that are left on the top. The rest is cake.
