getting some paint work done...is this fair?

Check with him for pictures of his other flame jobs, and especially ghost jobs.
It does sound like a good price, just be sure to check everything out before turning it over.
the shop in town where that tahoe had the flames laidout, is very reputable for doing good work, laying paint that is smooth, and turning out like new, but, not everyone can tape up some flames....
