Gauge mount questions
Im trying to figure out where im going to mount a aem AFR gauge. Trying to see where some have put theirs, if they like them there or not. I have a 03 silverado and im debating the cubby cam spot where the airbag switch goes or the steering column one. Only thing im worried about is it being too bright in my face bejng its a daily driver. Another thing i thought of was retro fitting it in the ash tray so i can keep it out of sight. Any insight would be awesome please.

I have mine located in the top position of a 2 gauge pillar mount. Can’t be much closer to your face and I have no issues with it there in my daily driver. I like it there. I have my fuel pressure gauge mounted right underneath it. I also have a steering wheel gauge pod. I utilize that for my boost gauge. That wouldn’t be a bad location for you if you are only going to have the AFR gauge. Those 2 locations would be the only 2 I would consider since the AFR gauge is really important when modifying. I want it to be really visible, just my 2 cents.

Single Autometer pillar mount for the AEM. I agree with John about visibility of the wideband. I thought about the cubby cam mount but reading the AEM at wide open throttle, which is the main reason for installing a wideband, didn't seem like a good idea going fast and taking eyes that far off the road.

Yeah i like the look on the pillar also, but for me it would just be asking for trouble. Im an electrican in new orleans and **** like this just draws theives. I mainly wanted the wide band for tuning purposes. Im not going boosted anytime soon unfortunatly. Unless i find TVS for 3k.

I'm about to hit 134,000 and for a 19 year old truck I've averaged about 7000 a year.
Just put the Escalade cluster in mine and the odometer was around 800 miles off the OEM. I'm not going to bother having it calibrated
Back on topic... I ordered SEM paint to try to match the Autometer pillar pod . Going by the RPO code (12) my research tells me the paint code is "WA7701". The SEM number is 17113 Graphite.
