gas pump mess up
#11
Sorry. I thought I got a great deal once very similar and the reason was that the premium was sold out so the pump defaulted to regular. I even complained to the station.I thought there was only premium and 87. If you wanted the middle grade, it mixes in the pump...

Around here when the 91 octane gets old they lower the price to empty the tanks. Then once they get a new shipment in the price goes up. My gas mileage has been **** lately using premium. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm buying 2-3 month old gas.

I think they can't sell a lesser grade then what is listed on the pump (legally), but they can sell a higher grade. I know the new station they just built here, only has 4 tanks. (Watched them build it.) 1 is Diesel, 1 is 91 and 2 are 85 (we are at 4800' so they can have that as low grade) Then at the pump, they have 4 grades, 85,87,89,91. It's all mixed at the pump with only one hose, so I'm pretty sure they can make the nozzle disperse what ever they want.

I used to drive a tanker semi, and mid grade isn't mixed premium and regular. You can select Mid grade when you fill up your tanker compartments at the refinary. I think I only ever hauled it once though, who really uses mid grade? Anyhow, sweet deal man, you must be living your life right.

Trucks running good on whatever it is, gas mileage wasnt affected either. Hell, it might be a tad better.LOL. It would suck to think I was getting a good deal on 93 and end up having to put in a new motor.
