I love how you liberals always point to Bush. He doesn't get more money because of rising gas prices. Unless the government raises the taxes on gas then they won't get more money. The liberals bitched about in the begining of the Iraq war Oh Bush is going for oil. Yeah, apparently not if he was we could be getting it for a dollar a gallon now.

I agree that we should do more domestic drilling, but doubt that the Bush's would accept a lower profit margin.
These threads always turn out like this.
Arguing Politics is the only time when you can have 50 people arguing and each one believes without a shadow of a doubt that they are 100% correct

do a little research folks. Iraq doesn't even have that much oil. do not confuse them with the saudi's. With that being said I do think that big US oil companies are benefiting from this and not just OPEC. I personally welcome it as I work in the petrochemical industry designing plants. We are booming. I will pay $3 a gallon and be happy as long as I have a job. It beats the hell out of $0.89 a gallon gas and the unemployment line.
Now to play devil's advocate here......Bush is kinda turning his head because his family and friends are profiting substantialy from this. Have you seen the quarterly profit reports for some of these oil companies???? He could threaten OPEC to release the national reserves on the market and drive the price down but he won't......why you say.......this is his last term and he doesn't have to worry about re-election.
BTW.....I happen to be a card carrying republican so no liberal **** sucker slander please!
