93 octane is about 2.29-2.35/gallon. Kinda glad that the truck is off of the road now. Anyone wanna trade these 4.11's I just bought for some 2.56s?

Without knowing anything else about you I read your post and knew you were in CA. I expect it to be well over $3.00 before long.

It's all part of the plan......they will jack prices up another 20-30 cents and then bring them back down to just below $2 and everyone will let a big sigh of relief ignoring the fact that just a few years ago they were paying $1.25 a gallon. The oil companies capitolize on the very short attention span of Americans.

I personally car pool as much as possible. The only way to combat this problem is lower our consumption. Maybe we could start pulling a couple injectors and spark plugs I know summer will be fun for me...... that big block in my jet boat DRINKS gas. I can go thru as much as 30 gal in one day(93 octane)!!!!

those Geo metros are looking better by the day

Same here. Prices are around $2.20 for 91 octane here and in AZ. I stopped looking at the final total last month.
To put it in perspective tho, I am currently in Scotland for work. They pay around 0.90 British pounds per Liter ( or Litre how they spell it, $%&#@ proper English ). This gets mightly close to $5 per gallon or more.
All my students are razzing me for driving on a 5.7L motor til I make them cry about gas pricing in the US. BTW, they gave me a Vauxall Vectra 2.0L stick. Nothing like driving on the "wrong" side of the road in a manual.
Guess all the work travel and expensing fuel for the rental cars is not too bad right now.....

Well he isnt using the extra cash to pay troops. When the Marines found out that my brother's wife left him, cleaned him out, and moved to Texas with another Marine while he was overseas, THEY TOOK ALL THE SEPERATION PAY AND WHATEVER ELSE THEY PAID HIM FOR BEING MARRIED BACK !!! He has nothing and they want him to pay back almost 3K. All this when they wouldnt do anything to help him stop her from cleaning him out.
There is nothing anyone can do about it, but sit there in a shitty mood and pay. The one and only thing my father ever said that was worth a crap was that the bottom 99% pay for the lifestyle's of the upper 1%.

I don't understand the logic in that. The bottom 90% don't pay NEARLY as much taxes as the top 10%. However they use far more of the services.

Not trying to hijack the thread but this makes utterly no sense. If OPEC wasn't cutting back oil production like a bunch of douche bags then gas prices would be fine. Another way to fix it would be for the liberal nuts to get there heads out of there asses quit bitching about the caribou and let us drill in our own reserves a long time ago.

I love how you liberals always point to Bush. He doesn't get more money because of rising gas prices. Unless the government raises the taxes on gas then they won't get more money. The liberals bitched about in the begining of the Iraq war Oh Bush is going for oil. Yeah, apparently not if he was we could be getting it for a dollar a gallon now.
