Default Gas Price Idea

It will never work and let me tell you why.........

I thought about it for
2 seconds, It does'nt. Now hear this, what about the price of oil in our
domestic production, we are not members of OPEC. Then there is this, the
Oil companies buy and sell gasoline on an exchange basis which many of us do
not understand. Let me put it this way.......The Mobil and Texaco gasoline
that a person buys in the Dallas, Fort Worth area is a blend of gasoline
that is made in Beaumont, Texas (Mobil) and Port Arthur, Texas (Texaco).
The gasoline from both refiners is pumped into a Mobil facility (Beaumont)
and is pumped through a Mobil Pipeline facility to a Texaco Pipeline
Facility near College Station, Texas. Texaco then pumps the gasoline to the
Dallas Fort Worth area to Mobil and Texaco facilities. It's all put into the
same storage tank. How do i know??? I have done it hundreds of times. So,
what gasoline are you really buying????? All the oil companies do
this......guaranteed. If you buy Shell, Conoco, Phillips 66, Diamond
Shamrock, Mobil or Texaco, or even go the local Race Track Gas station in
the Beaumont-Port Arthur area, you are buying the blended Mobil-Texaco.
This goes on all over the country.......The Oil Companies have pipelines to
every major market in the country, or they use other pipeline companies to
get their product to those markets. As far as purchasing a real authenic
branded gasoline, good luck..............I do know this, Exxon branded
gasoline or Shell branded gasoline in Houston is the real deal.

Get this, the big oil companies back in the early sixties formed a pipeline
company in Atlanta, Georgia. They named it Colonial Pipeline Company. It's
the largest pipeline company in North America and they pump each others
gasoline through this system. It starts in Houston where Shell and Exxon
pump into it.....Then goes to Beaumont where Mobil and Texaco Pump into it.
Then it heads to Lake Charles where Conoco puts a dab into it.......Then
onto Baton Rouge and New Orleans where Mobil and Exxon feed it
again.......Then somewhere in Mississippi Chevron feeds it...........It goes
all the way up the east coast.........So who's gasoline is it??????

How about this...each gas station gets it from somewhere, right?
If everyone in the neighborhood stops using the local Mobil station, I'm talking NO ONE uses it, and ONLY the Shell station across the street, will the price of the Mobil station gas that NO ONE is using stay the same price? Hmm...I guess not
