I am on my 2nd Plymouth Acclaim beater. I buy them for $1500 and run them for 60,000+ miles and sell them for $500, or donate them.
If you buy the ones with the 3.0L, they are very snappy cars and get 25-30MPG. My current one has A/C, PW, PDL, cruise etc. and it cost me $1600. It had 65K on the clock and now has 93K. All I did was front breaks, oil changes, filters. WORTH EVERY PENNY! I am even looking for my next one...
I am a big guy (6'1", 290) and have room to spare in them. 4 doors and a trunk come in handy as well. I think we can all agree that it isn't desireable to be seen in a car like this but when you drive 700 miles a week and have a cool low mile truck because of it,...it all seems worth it.

i average about 780 a month for gas..average fill up 66 bucks 3 times a week..people always bitch about it. but yet you go to a concert and waste 5 - 6 bucks for that beer you need right.or how about that 3 dollar hambuger.. im sure you can take your lunch or budget your money better.blah blah blah..i mean really if you cant afford it trade down to a tuna can car or something..hyundai`s go for 6000 grand and get 40 miles to the gallon there you go..

Gas is now $3.29 on average here in Oklahoma......Not great, but it could be much worse. I drive 20 miles to work then 20 home, not counting errands I've gotta' run. On average I run about $300 on gas a month, give or take a little. I'm fixin' to move out of the house so I can move to another college.....so, it's either drive 55 miles MWF or move closer and pay rent. I'm not crazy about either one, but since I opted for the move out I'm sellin' my truck cuz I don't want two sets of payments. So after I sell my 04 I'm gonna' insure my 85 and drive it when I have to and ride with my buddy to and from school.......BTW....Anybody need to buy a truck? LOL

Sheez this is like a added bill. I remember when i was smaller $5 dollars worth could get you far, $5 bucks wouldnt even last me a day now! How is everyone else holding up?

55-75 bucks is nothing for gas, it costs me about 100 bucks to fill my tank from about an 1/8 of a tank, plus we export most of the oil in alberta to the states yet we pay more for our own gas like WTF!?!
