i don't mean to be a jerk but the gap is there for a reason. now, when your truck flexes the grille shell will gouge the bumper cap. it wont be a big deal unless you get it painted... in that case it will mess up the paint

I'll be working on the same for my SS when I pull the bumper again. (I dinged it up on some expensive car who's owner didn't know how to drive it.)

I already have it cleaned up a lot, just want to make it better. It's easier on this truck because of the plastic bumper cover. It can be adjusted a little easier than the bumper stucture itself.

I guess that could be true, but the cap isnt touching the grill quite yet. And if it does, I will just take out a washer or two, since its adjustable now. I'm not to worried about it though. Also, I dont think that GM needs to put a 1.5 inch gap in there because the grill will never flex that much. The only reason I can think the gap would be there is because A.) If you get in a fender bender they dont want the bumper to be automatically pushed into grill area OR B.) They need to work on there fit and finish

I am sure he would help also. Do you go to any of the car meets here in town? About the RCSB, yea there isnt much to distinguish his truck just yet, but if you see one without the bumper gap you will know its his, lol. later 2002whitelight
