Default Full Throttle show?

anyone watch that show full throttle that comes on the history channel? i have seem several episodes and i do like it however, the times they are posting up are horrible. i think some of our stock guys could take out some of those cars.

the show features the two tuner twins, erik and mark.

i was particularly dissapointed in the grand nationals times. as for the most recent ford versus chevy episode... shouldnt they be breaking those motors in before taking them down the track?that el camino was smokin like a bitch.

It's pretty janky....

Last episode I watched was with 2 Buick GNs. They did bigger turbo, IC, new trans etc and still only pulled off a 14@97mph or some ****. LOL

The 2 monkeys that worked on the car had me LMAO when they asked. What's a tree???

how in the hell do you upgrade all that stuff and pull a 14 in a GN i am pulling close to extremely high 14's in my truck with a stall converter and yeah you have to be a monkey if you work on that kind of thing and dont know what a tree is of course that would explain why it ran like @$$

well you guys summed up my thoughts on the whole show. i like the concept, but i feel like there is something missing. particularly people who know what they are doing. but then again, that might be the shows appeal. take two knuckleheads that know nothing and see what they can do. who knows. all i can say, if i were to be on a show like that, i would want to do just about everything that could be done.

and yes, those engines in my book aren't worth jack now. since they never got broken in properly.

Not making excuses for those guys, but the GN's that they were working on were 85's, not 87's.

well to them 16's in the quarter mile is fast. their used to their ricer mobiles that make so much sound out of the fart can exhaust it makes them think they are going fast. also they are probably used to working with overhead cam engines and just cant figure out this whole newfangled overhead valve thing. they could probably tune a ford motor pretty good(not a dis on ford). i studied ricers for 2-3 years and then i ended up buying my truck. most ohc guys i talked to just couldnt understand ohv engines. oh well. just my .02

thats very true. it really could be the fact they don't know jack about domestic motors. other. especially if they are happy with 14, 15, and 16 sec 1/4 mile

they should have welded up the spider gears on rancharo to make it equal with the chevy and it's posi, and like he stated i too would have left off the fan and the alt belt for the extra ponys, with no lights on, a new fully charged battery would have made a few good runs before it needed to be charged, the 750 vacume secondary holly i would not have picked, it would have been a motor craft 4800 4bb for the 428 scj, that c 4 trans would have to go too, needed the c 6 with the bigger clutch pack and better out put on tq, on the chevy with the 383 crate, the turbo 400 would have been replaced with the 700r and the 750 vacume secondary would have been replaced with a 750 double pumper for the extra fuel.
