Good Luck. I hope you get it back but it is just a car. The plates to me would be the important part.

When somethin has sentimental value, it's not just a car. Or a truck. Or whatever. There's a value attached to it, beyond what most would spend or go thru to obtain it, cause it holds a special place in their heart.

Chase, ya got a VIN? Or any of the pertinents? So your cous has that same pic above for his avatar, that's identical to your Dad's '55?

Trouble is that was how many years ago? Cause sadly, even if it had a 283 or ..., it may be a different driveline, cause people love to hotrod ththe Shoeboxes.

I love the '55's & '56's, even if they're much older than me. I think Bill was around back then.

Good luck.

dont have a vin yet. the cousin that is on his facebook is the one whos friend bought it. its the same color as when i remember. not sure what drivetrain it had but i dont really care at minumum i would do a lsx swap with efi and a decent trans.

he passed back in 96 so not too long ago but 15 years is a while. im just not sure if my cousin just found a picture and put it on or still knows the where abouts . iirc it went up north towrads reno. it also was sold for pennies imo. id pay a good amount more than its worth for sure . knowing my dad once drove it makes it worth alot to me.

he also had a nice harley and 85 iroc-z. this is the one i would want out of them .ill post on progress of finding its location or a vin and possibly get some help in locating it.

the part that kind of sucks is i helped my mom move out of the house we all lived in since 89 and she just told me that she threw out all the original chrome parts she still had for it , those can be replaced though . i just want the car.
