Default Flowmaster Super 10 Muffler?

Does anybody have an opinion on the Super 10 mufflers? I've got a 2001 Silverado 5.3L with a Super 40 (single 3" center inlet/2.5" dual outlet) that has rusted through. It's my daily driver and the only other mod is a CAI.

I was listening to a few Youtube clips of the Super 10 and they sound great but I never really liked my Series 40 because of some quality issues. Is there a higher quality muffler with similar sound?

I like the Hooker Aerochamber sound too but they don't make a single 3" center inlet/2.5" dual outlet version. Would there be a huge difference with the single 3" inlet/single 3" outlet?

Thanks for your help guys

i ran a set of the 3" 10 series on my 454ss truck and they both had broken baffle plates in less than 7 months. my truck only makes 441/530 at the tires on motor and it broke the welds on the insides of the mufflers. they sounded wicked but broke very quickly!!

i then changed to a set of super 44's in 3" and already had one of them break a weld and have a rattling baffle plate in it already after 4 months. i honestly dont think flowmasters quality is as good anymore as they were years ago.

im really considering a 3" xpipe and a set of magnaflows now. im tired of spending money for the flowmasters, just to blow the baffles out of them shortly

Look up the Xlerator VR series mufflers. Since it seems like you want loud, they're the competition to Flowmaster with better quality.
