The fastest I've ever see anything go by was when I lived in NC and the IRL cars were testing at Lowe's. They where getting ready to build a new tower in turn one and didn't have the track fenced off. We could walk right up and hang on the fence at the top of the wall just before turn one and when one of those cars goes whizzing by a 220, it hurt my neck to try and turn it that fast,
