Yeah I was looking at a lot of different brands that were affordable with larger lcds like eonon, pyle, lanzar, legacy, and power acoustik and was advised not to waste my money. So I lucked up on the Clarion. Its just a 3.5" lcd but thats fine for now. Single din with ipod, usb, and optional hd tuner. Hope its a good one and reliable.

I've had Clarion, and it's a nice stereo. I know you won't be disappointed. I'm glad to see another step side out...

Clarion came in today. Also got my side mirror running lights and turn signals hooked up last week along with the missing interior pieces replaced. Fixed some rattles and squeaks in the interior. Hooked the autometers up to the factory interior dimmer plus a potentiometer so that I can adjust the factory guages and the autometers together or separately. Everthing is coming along pretty steady. Still some things to fix here and there but they are getting smaller and smaller.

Also took it for a 300 mile trip this weekend and it did great. One small scare when the trans didnt want to shift into O/D for a bit but after a short wait on the side of the road it did fine. No idea what that was about. It was a real bumpy road so that may have led to it somehow. Looks like the mpg is around 12 or so. Not too bad considering.

Also I cant figure out how to properly adjust the shift cable so that the shifter actually shifts it into park. Anyone know how to adjust the cable length? If you do please explain. Thanks

Got the cable adjusted. Got all the wiring done for now in readiness for the Clarion and tested it. It worked well just now have to mount it. Ha. The plastic adapter from walmart that said it was for all 94 and up Chevrolet vehicles was a frikin lie. 2003 and up Silverado and only. So have to wait. Walmart sucks
