This is by far the 2nd best mod I've ever done to this truck! My truck came with the cardboard feeling work truck seats that had no folding center console. I found a set of 2 front seats with a fold down center console out of a 2005 Chev crew cab. Truck only had 10K miles on it when it was wrecked. I got all 3 pieces for $250 delivered to my door! At any rate, since these were '05 seats and I have an '04, I had to take the cushions and covers off the 04 bottoms and swap them onto my '04 frames. Same goes for the back rests. The main harness that runs under the bottom cushion needed to be swapped over too (for airbags and seat belts). About 4 hours of labor later, everything was swapped over. Now that I have a center console with my 5 speed shifter, driving is damn near orgasmic. You guys would not believe the difference in the way it changed the way the truck floats down the road. Also the bolsters are much more prevalent on newer seats. Also for you guys that say the seat cushion bottoms are the same, I have a hard time believing that. The new seats are so nice, it's like memory foam almost.

congrats.....I take it you just got the mid range cloth seats? Meh....I'm personally going to be upgrading mine to 05-07 full power leather w/ full console. My seats are worn out. Also, I think the center console would have been badass with your shifter....someone on here did a sick setup with the center console and the shifter came thru the left side cup holder...looked totally trick.

 

I'm going to be running the 5 speed for a long time yet........ No need for the hard center console
