well sunday i got a 16.95 out of my 4.3 it was 16.9 at 79.57MPH im

 

my 96 chevy regular cab with the v6 and very few mods like cAI, exhaust, shorter tires, etc. ran a 16.1 at 84 mph. the best run I ever had was 15.8 @87 mph which was in the late fall being about 45 degrees outside. good luck with the truck

yeah I know mine to, that's why I was so pissed when i went to the track with my current truck. I had the meanest v6 truck I have ever came up against. it wasw like a freak. I took trucks with 350's and 305's all the time, beat all the dodge boys 360's and the ford 5.4 with it stock. but it didn't make much difference with modifications. it was a beast for a v6 and I wish I would have never sold it(because it was paid for )

I bet it being a long bed makes it 200lbs heavier. Maybe a little more. You have the 30 something gallon fuel tank right? In my 01' i got nearly 25mpg on the highway at 70, and could go from Jax,FL to New Orleons,LA on one tank.
