Ok, i took the plunge and got the wife a new ride. so far i have ordered an intake for it. now i want to get an exhaust system/muffler but don't want anything too loud. actually i want it quiet but something that flows well. anyone have any clue to which system is nice on these things? it is the 4.2L.

if anyone has any idea as to what can be done to make it faster let me know. i am happy with stock performance so far but as with anything else, faster is better.

Do the 05's come with a 5.3 yet ?

 

in the ext version i think. thats the only version they come in as far as i know. now some states like tx might slap some stuff in theirs to be different. but, if this engine goes, a 5.3 will be sliding it's way in.

 

my sister has a 03 trailblazer and that thing moves pretty good for what it has. Me and my boys hijacked it and drove it to Canada this summer. The thing got awsome gasmilage and even ate some rice along the way..

 

if i'm not mistaken the inline six has 275 hp. that aint too bad.

5.3 hell go striaght for the 6....or even better.....stuff an 8.1

 

if i get a 6L it will go into my truck and the trailblazer will get the 5.3L. i am still working on an S10 that is gonna get a 4.8L with a 5.3L crank. which will make it essentially a 5.3. besides, i can't have the wifes ride faster than mine. lol
