Default Fender Flares

I took my truck to the body shop and dropped it off to be painted and I ask them if they could color match the fender flares with the body and he said they could but didn't advise that because he said it would eventully start to flake. My truck is Dark blue and the FF are black, It looks ok but I would like it to match.

Do they sell flares that match or are people just getting them painted.

Thanks

My flares are painted the same color of my truck and that's how they came. As for chipping my truck has about 270,000 miles on it and no paint has chipped off the flares. I have also been in an accident and still no paint chipped off except for the front part of flare where the fender buckled out and bent the **** out of it. I think you need to speek with another body shop.

If they prep it right, peeling/cracking shouldn't be a problem. There are plenty of parts on our trucks that are painted plastic.

Totally agree. I had the same thing told to me when my truck was in the body shop.

they are the smooth ones...... I'll call him tomorrow, This shop does good work and has work well with me many times in the past... I was driving my camaro and was behind a three car accident, and the debris f**** up my stock hood and you can see what they were able to work in.... Very nice.
