Default Fast blinkers

I added LED front blinkers and now they blink fast ( as if when a bulb is out). Everything is operational, just blinking fast????

Any remedy to return to normal speed?

Dunno if your 2000 uses the combo flasher like my 2006 does, if so you need the Novita LM487 - sumbitch is about $50 now though, man the price has really come up - I think I paid $35 for mine a couple years ago.

You can also hack the flasher module by cutting one leg off the IC for the turn signal side. Super easy. You won't get "bulb out" hyperflash warning anymore but pretty sure that functionality is lost no matter how you resolve switching to LED signals.

I had hacked the regular flasher on an older (GMT400) truck with success, and discovered the combo flasher a GMT800 uses has the same IC in it. I mentioned it over on Silverado SS forums and someone else tried it, says it works fine. Here's his pic detailing leg #7 that you cut on the IC:

I got my flasher relay from super bright leds, I don’t think it was more then 10 or 20 bucks. It is a combo in my 01, so I’d assume the same as 00 and 06

I did the flasher mod clipping pin 7.
Had to use a magnifying glass and use a small pair of surgical scissors to clip the pin... it's that tiny!
It flashes slightly faster than normal but nothing like the hyper flash as before the snip.

Good deal. So no wide combo flasher on your 2000 model then?

There are also LED turn signals made with built in resistors to mimic the load from an incandescent bulb.
